Hermione
Ships
What's a ship?
Ship is an online term for a relationship between two people. The term originates for the specific fans of a couple. In blatant terms, it's kind of like saying "I'm in the same boat as you".
Hermione has a ship?
Mmhm; as a matter of fact, she has many! And shipping is not in the least bit limited. You can pair her with anybody you fancy. Of course, they had to have interacted at some point in order for it to be valid, or in other terms, Canon. The most popular Hermione ships are Ron/Hermione, Harry/Hermione, and Draco/Hermione. We'll be explaining the details of each of these couples in the following paragraphs.
Ron/Hermione
About: Hermione befriended Harry Potter and Ron Weasley during her first year at Hogwarts. She was often regarded as the brains of the group, as every time a situation called for some high-powered thinking, Hermione was there to help. Ron and Hermione havd very unique dynamics, and their chemistry often produced some intense moments between the two, ranging from heated arguments to precious moments. Their sixth year at Howgwarts made this clear; after Hermione hinted to Ron that she was interested in him, she was extremely upset when Ron began dating Lavender Brown. After his breakup with Lavender, it was implied that Ron and Hermione made up in more ways than one. During their seventh year, they were much closer than they had ever been, and during the Battle of Hogwarts, Hermione finally kissed him. They married some years later and had two children together: Hugo and Rose.
Harry/Hermione
About: Although Harry and Hermione were never presented as a couple, they were great friends throughout their years together at Hogwarts. They first met on the Hogwarts Express on their way to school, and hours later were placed into the Gryffindor house with each other. Hermione was kind of Harry's common sense; he always turned to her when he needed help or when simply seeking advice. Hermione helped Harry free his godfather, fight at the Ministry of Magic, and ultimately defeat the evil Lord Voldemort. They remained close friends even after their graduation, Harry's children with Ginny and Hermione's children with Ron all attending Hogwarts together nineteen years later.
Draco/Hermione
About: A relationship between Draco and Hermione seemed pretty much impossible from the start, but that doesn't mean they didn't make a fun couple to ship! (We would call this fanon, of course.) The pair has all the elements of an exciting romance: passion, sex-appeal, strength, tragedy, intrigue, and power. Their opposition came from just about everyone and everywhere, making their relationship both riveting and exciting. Though they never became friends in the book series, we'd like to think that there was a mutual respect between the two in the end, leading to peace and esteem between their families and friends.
